What Makes Us Unique Peacemakers Training and Terry Bragg are unique because of several things: (1) We address personal and organizational improvement on three distinct levels: personal, interpersonal, and systemic. This is a comprehensive approach that has a higher probability of succeeding. Most other change and improvement programs focus on only one and at most two of the factors.
This is working from the inside out. On the personal level, we address attitudes, motivation, and beliefs that support achieving personal and organizational excellence. We focus on improving self-esteem and creating a work environment that enhances the self-concept of workers. We believe that people who feel good about themselves do better work. People who feel good about themselves also treat others better than people who do not feel good about themselves. Interpersonal Level: At this level, we focus on improving relationship, influencing, and communication skills. We work with individuals and groups to develop teamwork, leadership, and management skills. We also develop conflict resolution skills because conflict is inevitable in any long term work relationship. Our goal is to show people how they can influence others with integrity. Systemic Level: You can have the best people, but still not get the best results unless your people have systems that support their best efforts. At the systemic level, we examine work processes and organizational systems to assure they support organizational goals and values. We work on aligning mission, vision, values, and culture to support the achievement of excellent results. (2) We understand what works for transformational change because we’ve experienced it personally. Terry Bragg started out as the old style, authoritarian, dictatorial type of manager. Although this style may have worked in the old days, it doesn’t work today in most organizations. Terry successfully transformed himself, his management style, and his communication skills. He’s been there and knows how difficult it is and what really works and what doesn’t work. His approach is practical and realistic. He shares his personal successes and failures so others may learn from them. (3) Our programs are practical and results oriented and appeal to technical leaders. Terry Bragg is an ex-engineer. He understands the technical mindset. His programs are results oriented. He works well with technical people and project managers because he understands the problems they face and their unique approach to the world.
